Just popped in to share some of my Christmas decorations. This year I decorated 3 trees, each with a different theme. I also created a Christmas Garden/Village and Manger Scene at the top of my foyer and the ledges on the way upstairs.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed decorating.....I love Christmas!!!!!!!!
Beverly Reid
10' Designer tree in foyer
It took 3 days to decorate.
I have pictures of the of the entire process if anyone is interested.
Close-up of the top. You can see some of the Christmas Village above the tree
I used Red, Gold and some Green decorations
This is one of the wreaths that didn't sell at the last craft fair.
I hated to put it away until next year, so it's resting on my front door on the
inside for 1 more month.
View of the window at top with 3' Santa and 3 cone trees
Dining Room
The Centerpiece is Tropical flowers and the chandelier has a huge organza bow with a draped gold garland.
There is also gold garland on top of the china cabinet with white lights at night.
This is the Manger Scene above the door to the living room, top left in foyer.
You can also see the "Memory" tree above it upstairs in the family room
Christmas Village above tree in foyer, top right
I used white lights with white wires for "stars" and covered them with sheets of cotton
I took all the lights out that came with the houses and stuffed them with the mini lights on a string. Worked out great and didn't need to plug each house.
Now I'll take you up the steps for the rest of the villages.
As you can see from this picture, there are 4 layers.
Above the tree in foyer is the first layer.........
2nd layer going up the steps
3rd layer
4th layer at the top of the steps
This one is in memory of my sister who gave the Scottish soldiers as a Christmas gift to my husband several years ago. Santa is leading the parade
Family Room
At the top of the entertainment center I had to place the baskets of greenery because I didn't want to put them in the attic to store. They were on the ledges where the Christmas village is. So I decorated them with white lights and Poinsettias.
I've collected Angels over the years, so I have some of them scattered around the room
This is the "Memory" tree in our family room upstairs
It's decorated with ornaments from family, friends, places we've visited,
My mom's ornaments and Dave's mom & grandmom's antique ornaments.
This one has the multi-color lights, vintage icicles and mesh netting with ribbons
Dave & I bought the Angel when we had our first tree in our first home
OK.....going back downstairs
Mini tree fully decorated on landing with Santa & Sleigh
I hung huge ornaments in very long window with ribbon
The lights you see in bottom of window are the lights on tree outside
Fireplace in living room
The very large wreath is made from left over ornaments and flowers
The candles are the stable deco, I just added pine garland, fruit, berries, flowers and gold and white beads and white LED lights
Normally I place real potted Poinsettias in front of the large candles on each side of the fireplace, but I found out that they are poison to animals.
Next year I'll get fake ones.
To the left of the fireplace are some of the Santas that Dave collects
Some of the Santas that Dave collects. I put white lights to show them off and added berries to the vines
Living Room
"Tropical" Christmas Tree
Notice the tropical Santa on coffee table LOL
Top of Tropical tree
All tropical ornaments that we're collected from places that we've been.
I used Leis and gold beads for garland and filled it in with tropical flowers and birds
