Today's DIY

How to Make a Rag Wreath

By Beverly Reid ~ 2 Crafty Gals

You will need a Styrofoam ring, scissors, glue gun, 1 craft pipe cleaner, ruler, 4 to 5 different color & pattered scrap material, netting and a tool to poke the strips in (I used a wine stopper, but a chop stick may be used).  Optional is ribbon & decorations.
Use a craft pipe cleaner or ribbon for the hanger.
Cut the fabric into 6" x 1" strips.
They don't have to be perfect, so you can cut the strips any size.
I'm just giving an example to go by.
Place a strip on ring and push in using a tool desired.
For patterned fabric, place strip right side up.
Place randomly until ring is full.
You may do both sides if desired.
Also, the ring may be spray painted the predominant color
so the white can't be seen.
Finished, but wait.......I think this will need a snowman.
Glue bottom of snowman to ring.
I removed some of the fabric, glued it, then replaced the fabric to hide glue.
I also wired the top of the hat to the hanger.
